As writers, we all know how good it feels to type the words: “The End.” I rarely include those words in my novels, but I type them anyway as a means to put closure to the work that I’ve been laboring over for so many months…er, years in some cases. At this point in novel production, it’s time to celebrate. Nevermind that I know all too well how long the road is to seeing that drafted manuscript in book form, that night, I’m going to sit back with a glass of wine and bask in my success. And, if you’ve just finished a novel manuscript, you should do exactly the same.

In other news, over the last couple of days, I’ve completed an initial proofread for a client’s manuscript, done some cover and interior work for another client, and I’m getting ready to sink into the final proofing for my first large editing project of the year. This week, so far, has been all about The Write Prose. I haven’t posted my goals in a couple of weeks, but I plan to get back to that this week…and back to my worldbuilding series next week. For now, I’m knocking things off the list one at a time.
Feeling good about editing this week. And, getting some of these things wrapped up means that there will be some wonderful new reads on the shelf very soon, and that turns my end into a beginning
