Good morning, everyone! 2019 is bringing a whole new set of opportunities, and I’m energized! I have a schedule developed for my blog with deliverables that I feel are maintainable. I have started my process of networking and growing my author platform. After battling with my own expectations of myself, I’m learning what I can take on and what I can’t. As a pure type A personality, there will be some hard decisions and things to simply let go of in the coming year, but that will be good–hopefully for both me and my author platform. I had to put some discipline around this thing I’ve started so that I simply didn’t get overwhelmed. After some soul searching and talking with other authors, I think that was the right decision.
Things are looking good.

1: Write
- Write at least 2500 words on one of my major WIPs. I have two currently. The 4th of The Caeteran Tales and a collaborative YA Steampunk fantasy with my son.
- Write blog post: Worldbuilding Across Genre: Fantasy. Yes, I’m starting the year with the easiest genre to speak of when discussing worldbuilding. However, stay tuned. My 2019 includes most prominent genres…Mystery, Sci-Fi, Romance, Contemporary Lit, Historical Fiction, etc.
- Write 2 book reviews: The Snow Child, by Eowyn Ivey and Prophecy by Cassandra Morgan.
2: Edit
- Edit blog posts: Worldbuilding Across Genre: Fantasy, and 20 Fantasy Worldbuilders
- Editing Project Support: Carrows Justice by Annabelle Lewis.
3: Promote
- Blog about Marketing group
- Send recap to Marketing Meetup Group
- Connect with fellow authors
4: Publish
- Kindle Format preparation and upload for Sixth Induction
